ABOUT ABOUT

The UK is a great place to run a business: Corporation Tax is low, company formation easy and the government offers a range of support to entrepreneurs that helps with start-up, job creation and new product development.

The Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa allows eligible foreign nationals to setup, takeover or be actively involved in the running of UK Businesses. Learn what makes an application under Tier 1 successful, what questions you’re likely to be asked at interview and if the visa is right for you.

At present there are two routes to gaining a visa:

THE ENTREPRENEUR VISA ROUTE
Applicants will need to invest a minimum of £200,000 in their business over a 3-year period and employ a minimum of 2 people full time. On making an application you must provide a business plan, setting out your proposed business activities.

THE GRADUATE ENTREPRENEUR VISA ROUTE
This route is open to University of Leicester graduates from any degree discipline who have graduated in the last 3 years and are working on an outstanding business idea that demonstrates an innovative value proposition with high growth potential.

If you feel in a position to meet either of the above criteria but feel like you need help developing your business plan then this workshop is ideal for you.

This event has been part funded by Leicester and Leicestershire Economic Partnership and the University of Leicester.
