Awarded best event of LBF 2017, Innovation inCharnwood Showcase 2018 will again deliver an exceptional all-day B2B event. It will feature over 50 enterprises exhibiting and talks by five local business people who are all taking forward real innovation in their work. Wednesday 7thNovember is when hundreds of people from across Leicestershire and beyond will come together to network, discuss and hear about innovation in business.
The Showcase is NOT a general business exhibition but IS focused on true innovation and will inspire, stimulate and challenge. It will be a demonstration that Leicestershire is at the forefront of driving forward new technologies which have immense benefits not only for business, but for people’s quality of life.
This year’s event is to be held at the impressive Holywell Conference Centre on Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase on site.
Innovation InCharnwood Talks – Discover a New Generation of Innovation
Innovation inCharnwood Showcase 2018 features FIVE free talks which will enable you to ‘Discover a New Generation of Innovation’. The talks will be by exceptional business people who have overcome immense obstacles and challenges to achieve significant success.
The confirmed speakers are:
Catherine Grainger, 3M Brand Manager for the Novec™ Brand family of engineered fluids will talk about the science behind this dry fluid from 3M that is solving some of industry’s toughest problems.
Rich Horton, Team Triumph Director, Duathlon World Champion and Triathlete Coach draws parallels in his talk between the journeys of a professional athlete and running a start-up company, sharing some valuable lessons that can be easily applied to anyone looking to juggle the demands of life.
Paul Ince, LikeMind Media Director and MarketEd.Live founder will talk about why copycat marketing no longer cuts it and how a failed attempt at building an app resulted in him founding the award-winning MarketEd.Live event, which brings international marketing speakers to the region.
Simon Lyons, Version 22 Director, Global Multi-Award-Winning Product Designer will talk about how technology and the Internet enables him to run a global business not possible ten years ago.
Alex Nash, Alcuris Founder and Managing Director will talk about how his grandfather’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis led to him to start a company dedicated to connected healthcare, with the aim of enhancing care and quality of life.
The talks will start at 11:00am – each lasting 30 minutes with a gap of 30 minutes between talks - allowing people to attend the talks they wish to attend and spend time exploring the exhibition.
