This event will bring business people together to network, advanced their creative problem solving skills, team working skills and general business skills.
We want to attract the best talent that the Harborough district has to come together to solve the problem of plastic. We want graphic designers, product designers, creative thinkers, finance specialists, marketers, managers, leaders and business people from all walks of life to come together as part of this one day hackathon.
Participants will be placed into groups, based on the complimentary skills they can bring to each group. From then they will be tasked to solve the problem of plastic. Practical but brief workshops will guide participants through the process of ideation, develop, test and learn to create a final solution for the problem of plastic. Participants will use tools such as the business model canvas in order to create a group presentation at the end of the day to pitch their ideas to the rest of the participants.
As well as providing a fantastic opportunity for skills development, the event aims to contribute to a solution for this truly global issue.
