Some of the issues which can affect a family business will be unique to that business and often will revolve around the requirements and expectations of family members.This event looks at some of the common problems and shares incite from experts drawn from RSM accountants East Midlands Chamber and Brewin Dolphin Financial Planning. This event is aimed at all family businesses in Leicester and Leicestershire and will address significant issues that they often encounter.

The event will provide valuable information to Family Business Owners, outlining their options for governance, expansion and potential exit. In addition it will provide ideas for the owners of business to structure and maximise their personal wealth - an aspect that can be forgotten whilst they are involved in the day to day running of the business.

Whilst acknowledging the importance of the family team we will also address

Speakers 

Scott Charlish is a Chartered Financial Planner and leads Brewin Dolphin’s Financial Planning Team in the East Midlands. He has a great deal of experience is dealing with local families and the planning that is required alongside the day to day issues of running a business.

Graeme Gladstone is an RSM Director who specialises in mergers, acquisitions and private equity. Graeme has over 15 years corporate finance experience and has a particular focus working with owner management businesses with recent experience on business sales, management buy-outs and refinances.

Kevin Edwards is an RSM Tax Partner who specialises in owner-managed businesses, providing commercially driven tax advice to businesses, corporates and their owners. Kevin has successfully worked with several family owned companies to achieve tax efficient sales for the shareholders to both internal management teams and to unconnected third parties.
