Visit this interactive roadshow to find out how implementing our free initiatives in your business can improve your staff health & wellbeing and cut your staff business travel costs. We will demonstrate how we can work with your business to better the journeys of staff to/from work and in-work travel, leading to reduced costs for business in terms of transport per se and in lower rates of sickness absence through a healthier workforce.
The roadshow models what is open to all staff when our team is invited to come into a business, so giving you the experience that all your staff could benefit from. It is set up in one room and clusters the complementary areas of health and transport. The participant moves through the following stalls:
- Your physical health is assessed with our body composition monitor
- Leicester Diabetes Centre give an analysis of your health based on that data
- Leicester City Council Walking & Cycling Team, Living Streets, Sustrans and Leicestershire County Council have tools that will help to improve your physical health by fitting more walking and cycling into your daily routine. The free tools include the creation of personal travel plans, a rewards scheme for travelling sustainably, signing up to walking pledges, and adult cycle training and maintenance in businesses. We also have information on setting up your own electric bike pool and cycle salary sacrifice scheme and have a range of electric bikes and cargo bikes for you to try out.
The roadshow runs from 11am to 2.30pm. A light buffet lunch will be provided at 12.30pm during which LCC’s Cycling Coordinator, Andy Salkeld, will give a presentation on the benefits to businesses of partnering in the Ride Leicester Programme and Festival.
